• Behind the Seams •

I designed costumes for Once on This Island Jr., focusing on building a vibrant, storybook-inspired world rooted in color, movement, and cultural texture. The costumes supported the musical’s rhythmic storytelling and ensemble-driven structure, using expressive silhouettes and layered fabrics to reflect character roles, environment, and emotional shifts. Working with the directing team, Tami Gamble’s scenic design, Eric Carter’s sound design, Nychelle Winters’ choir direction, and AyoTola Walsh’s choreography, I helped create a cohesive visual language that moved in sync with music, dance, and narrative energy.
